“Stella nascente nel mondo della musica classica”: cosi' viene descritto dalla stampa americana il pianista Marco Grieco che debutterà nel Marzo prossimo in alcune importanti istituzioni concertistiche negli Stati Uniti e in Canada.

In occasione del recente debutto in Cina il “South China Morning Post” esalta le qualita' comunicative dell'interprete descrivendo come “Grieco sia riuscito non solo ad immergere se stesso, ma anche il numeroso pubblico presente, in un fantastico mondo di suoni”.

Cosi' pure il “Mossel Bay Advertiser” nell'ultimo tour in South Africa decanta le qualita' di tocco e di comunicatività interpretativa riportando come il pianista sia stato in grado sin dalle prime note “di invocare una atmosfera musicale ultraterrena con delicatezza e bravura e, nel contempo, di concludere ogni frase nitidamente anche nel pianissimo”.

Negli ultimi anni e' in crescente richiesta come solista per importanti istituzione concertistiche in Italia e all'estero. In Italia e' ospite regolare per la Societa' dei Concerti di Milano (Sala Puccini e Auditorium Gaber) e per la Societa' dei Concerti di Ravello. Inoltre e' stato presente nei cartelloni dei Concerti del Quirinale per Rai Radio 3, ASAM di Siracusa, AFAM di Floridia, Amici della Musica di Oleggio,  degli Amici del Carlo Felice di Genova, Universita' Popolare di Milano, Universita' della Tuscia, Amici della Musica Societa' Beethoven di Crotone, Amici della Musica di Magliano Sabina, Teatro del Lido di Ostia, “Gorizia Classica”, San Giacomo Festival di Bologna etc.

All'estero e' stato ospite di estesi tour in Cina ( Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, Shanghai City Theatre, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Astronautics and Aeronautics, Nanning Teather, Tianjin Grand Auditorium) e in Sud Africa ( nelle principali citta' Johannesburg, Citta del Capo, Mossel Bay etc). Si esibito inoltre in Gran Bretagna (Londra – St Martin in the Fields e Manchester Cathedral), in Thailandia al Goethe Institute di Bangkok e Chiang Mai, Indonesia (Jakarta – GoetheHaus), Spagna (Fundacion Eutherpe- Auditorio Caja Espana Duero e Sala Eutherpe), Stati Uniti (New York University – Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo'), Ungheria (Budapest – Liszt Museum), Paesi Bassi (Amsterdam – Pianola Museum), Scozia (Edimburgo), Macedonia (Ohrid), Norvegia, Canada etc.

Il 26 agosto 2011 ha debuttato ufficialmente in Gran Bretagna con un recital solistico presso la prestigiosa sala di St Martin in the Fields a Londra nella Serie "Pianists of the world" con successo di pubblico e di critica. In qualita' di primo ed unico italiano ad esibirsi nella suddetta serie di concerti l'evento ha avuto risonanza mediatica nazionale (con pubblicazioni su testate giornalistiche come Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno e Corriere della Sera). A seguito di tale successo e’ stato reinvitato nella stessa serie nel 2014.

Nel Giugno 2014 e’ stato invitato come unico membro internazionale della facolta’ di pianoforte al Jakarta International Summer Music Festival (JISMF 2014) all’interno del quale ha tenuto Masterclasses, Seminari e recitals.

Suoi concerti sono stati trasmessi per Rai Radio 3 ed Euro Radio.

Ha tenuto Masterclasses in Cina, Thailandia, Indonesia e Italia.

E' risultato vincitore di oltre 35 concorsi pianistici nazionali e internazionali ( tra cui Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Rossomandi di Bovino, Concorso pianistico Internazionale Citta' di Cercola ec

Ha inciso per l'etichetta discografica "ClassicaViva" musiche di Chopin e Liszt.

E' Artista ClassicaViva.

Marco Grieco si e' diplomato in pianoforte col massimo dei voti e la lode al Conservatorio di Foggia. Si e' perfezionato in seguito coi maestri P. Iannone, A. Lonquich, F.J. Thiollier, M. Mollova (Sofia-Bulgaria). E' seguito successivamente un lungo periodo di maturazione personale e di interiorizzazione dell'essenza musicale grazie anche ad alcuni principi di filosofia orientale.

Ha conseguito inoltre con profitto, parallelamente agli studi pianistici, la laurea magistrale in Economia e Commercio presso l’Universita’ degli studi di Foggia.

Italian pianist Marco Grieco obtained his diploma in piano at the “Umberto Giordano” Music Conservatory in Foggia with highest honors.

He continued to study for several years with Professor Pasquale Iannone and attended many seminars and courses in piano technique and interpretation with the following Professors: M. Mollova, (Sofia, Bulgaria), F.J. Thiollier (Scuola del Trio di Trieste), A.Lonquich (Garganico Rhodes).

From 2008 to 2010 Marco has won awards in more than 35 national and international music and piano competitions.He was on the podium at the International Piano Competition "Citta' di Cercola" (2nd prize – 1st prize not awarded), International Piano Competition "Rossomandi" in Bovino(3rd prize -1st and 2nd prize not awarded) and at the International Piano Competitions "Citta 'di Valentino" (2nd prize), "Citta' di Fasano" (2nd prize)," Ernesto Falla in Candelo (3rd prize) and the Tricase International Music Competition "La Vallonea" (1st prize), the International Music Competition "Rosa Ponselle" (1st Prize), the National Music Competition "Orfeo Stillo" (1st prize and special prize "Orfeo Stillo" as best pianist in the competition), the International Music Competition "Estro Armonico" in Ladispoli (1st Prize), the National Piano Competition in Magliano Sabina (1st Absolute Prize), the National Piano Competition" Citta' di Guardiagrele " (1st Prize), the European Competition "Luigi Denza (1st absolute prize), the International Music Competition "M. On 26th August 2011, he made his London debut with a solo piano recital at the prestigious hall "St Martin in the Fields" in the "Pianists of the World" series. The event attracted attention from all key local, regional and national media.

On June 2013 he made his tour debut in China with a great success according to both critic and public

On 18th Genuary 2015 he performed at the Pauline Chapel in the Quirinal Palace in Rome broadcasted live by Rai Radio 3 at the presence of the President of of the Italian Republic for the series “Concerti del Quirinale”

In addition he made his first extensive South Africa tour with public and critical acclaim

He gave master-classes in Thailand , China and Indonesia where he was the only international faculty member at the 2015 Jakarta International Summer Music Festival (Indonesia).

In 2018 Grieco made his Portuguese debut at the Palácio Foz (The Hall of Mirrors), Lisbon having received a huge standing ovation.

Next engagements include a new engagement for the Fondazione Societa’dei Concerti in Milan, Amici della Musica in Trapani and others in Italy and abroad.

He recorded a CD (works by Chopin and Liszt) produced and distributed by "ClassicaViva".
